What Fragrance Are You Wearing?

Don’t you just love it when someone asks, “What fragrance are you wearing?” I get so tickled knowing that someone else agrees with me…. “Girl, you smell good!” From designer fragrances to our own homemade potions, we go to great lengths to make ourselves more attractive by wearing just the right scent. From lightly scented body sprays to deep sensual fragrances like Ralph Lauren’s HOT Eau de Toilette – my personal favorite – the choices are endless. Adding to this, it seems every well-known celebrity has a personal fragrance line. It’s no wonder the fragrance industry is a multi-billion dollar business.

But what about the other, more powerful, fragrance we’re wearing? That’s found in the Fruit of the Spirit. Let’s think about it. Are we walking in love, joy and peace? Or are we stinking up the place with unforgiveness, bitterness and envy? What aroma are we leaving behind? What fragrance is lingering in our homes, on our jobs or in our relationships?

Evangelist Bendetta Perry teaches extensively on the fragrance of the Spirit. From the time she was 16-years-old, Evangelist Perry says God was preparing her to launch Fragrance of the Spirit Ministry. She’s a mighty woman of God.  Connect with her on Facebook to keep up with her conferences and workshops being held throughout Southern California.

In the meantime, rest assured that you are leaving behind a fragrance with every encounter. The choice of fragrance is clearly up to you. Knowing this, what then will be your response the next time someone asks, “What fragrance are you wearing?”

Meditate on this: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance:  against such there is no law.”  – Galatians 5:22-23
